Ask
Ask them why. They answer from what they saw, and they won’t be talked round.
Ask why
Every reaction has Ask why. Their reaction is where the conversation starts, and they answer from what they actually saw, not from what you meant.
They look again
When a question is about something on the view (“what did you make of the navigation?”), the POV goes back and looks at it before answering. You see where they look.
They hold their view
A POV won’t agree just because you push. “Surely you’d sign up?” gets the same honest answer. If you want them to change their mind, change the work, or show them more: + Add view brings in the next screen, and their understanding moves on from there. Their first reaction stays as it was, so you can see what changed it.
Questions worth asking
- What would change your mind?
- What did you expect to see here?
- What would you tell a friend this is?
- Would you pay this price?
- Where would you have stopped?
For video, ask why they stopped. See Watch.
